Spanning over 103 acres, this property is conveniently located in the heart of the Sandhills.
Ideally located to serve Moore, Richmond, and Hoke Counties, future residents. A thoughtful system of active and passive parks, natural environmental preservation areas, and verdant buffers will integrate the community with our neighbors and allow all residents to thrive! Sandhills Station is a bold initiative led by Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills to address housing concerns within Moore County. Based on past accomplishments, MacKenzie Scott competitively selected Sandhills Habitat to receive a $3.5 million grant. Consistent with the board's long-range plan, Habitat purchased 103 acres off of Highway 15/501 in Aberdeen to establish a forward-thinking community dedicated to addressing Moore County's affordable housing needs and securing land for the next decade.

Developing the entire parcel at once helps reduce costs associated with clearing the lot, building infrastructure, and making the necessary modifications required by NCDOT for a turn lane on Highway 15/501. Habitat plans to sell the developed parcels for an expected income of $9 million, which significantly lowers the overall development cost for building affordable homes.
