Women Build 2017

Habitat for Humanity Sponsors a National Women Build Every Year

Sandhills Habitat is celebrating with a Women Build Day on May 6th and May 13th

Habitat for Humanity International’s (HFHI) National Women Build Week (NWBW) is a weeklong event created by its Women Build program that invites women to devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing. The week is meant to spotlight the homeownership challenges faced by women. This year, National Women Build Week will celebrate its 10th year with the program’s exclusive National sponsor, Lowe’s. Together Lowe’s and HFHI’s Women Build program bring together thousands of women, future homeowners, and hundreds of Habitat for Humanity local organizations to build homes. In 2017, there is a particular focus on adding millennials and mother-daughter teams to the traditional core group of volunteers.

Our Women Build Sponsor

National Women Build Week is sponsored exclusively by Lowe’s.
Lowe’s helped launch National Women Build Week in 2008, and each year provides the support of Lowe’s Heroes volunteers and conducts how-to clinics at stores to teach volunteers construction skills. This year, Lowe’s contributed nearly $2 million to National Women Build Week. Since its partnership began in 2003, Lowe’s has committed more than $63 million to Habitat and helped nearly 6,500 families improve their living conditions.
This year Lowe's Building Supplies is sponsoring two workshops.
