2019 Habitat Gala and Silent Auction

Everything that happens in Habitat world happens because of our strong partnerships. Building good homes, strong homeowners, and creating awareness in our community as to the need for affordable housing cannot be accomplished without many hands and minds of our community. A beautiful example of our powerful partnerships occurs each spring at our Annual Habitat Gala. As our signature fundraising event, we rely on the proceeds to build an entire home. Donations, auction contibutions, and ticket purchases all contibute to our goal this year!

Do you need to declutter but don't want to "give-away" those high end items? Consider donating them to the 2018 Habitat Auction. Your donation would be appreciated, tax deductible, and will go towards build a new home for a hard working family. Silent and Live Auction items stir up excitement and create a buzz around town! We have put together a wish list, but we welcome creative thinking and packaging.

Food and Drink

Gift Certificates from local business are a perfect auction item! We have a huge number of local restaurants, coffee shops, breweries. These donations will be bundle to create the “Taste of Moore” which one of the hottest live auction items. Service and Community Our area is rich in tourism venues and activities, as well as specialty shops, spas & salons, the resources are endless. A “ Behind the Scene” tour at the zoo, a personal make-over, chauffeur for a week, or maybe lunch with the mayor, would be a great package. Service commitments are welcome.

Host a Theme Party

Do you love to entertain? Know a great Chef? Have a great home or garden space? Consider hosting a “theme” party like a Kentucky Derby Party, Garden Party, Carolina BBQ, or Casino Night.

Artwork

North Carolina is a haven for to outstanding artists and showcasing their work at the Auction would be an honor. Do you know someone who would donate original artwork, photography or art lessons? Do you know a portrait artist who will donate a personal portrait? Handmade one-of-a -kind items are always a success at the auction. Vacation Getaways, Travel and the Great Outdoors

Do you have a timeshare or rental property?

Mountain homes, lake houses, beach retreats are great package items. Excursions of all types to any location are very welcome. “Hot Air Balloons Rides”, “Pilot in Training”, rock climbing, white water rafting, are needed so that we have variety at the office.

Sports and Fitness

Can you get tickets to a college basketball or football game, professional sports? Know a pro who will offer lessons or sign memorabilia? Belong to a health club or gym? Do you know a yoga teacher? Golf packages at any course in North Carolina or shadowing/lessons with a pro are packages that are the first to go!

Culture & Entertainment

Event tickets of any type throughout the year make great auction items. Events out of town could be packaged with limo service, a meal, and/or hotel stay. An opportunity to go backstage and meet the performers or take a tour of the venue work rock the event…Who do you know?

Miscellaneous Items

Do you have connections with a cleaning service, spa, lawn maintenance company, dog sitting/walking service, interior decorator, architect, dentist, orthodontist, dermatologist, music instructor, stylist or tutor who might be willing to provide services (one-time or a set number of visits)? Please help us coordinate an exciting donation.
